HILDEBRAND PROGRESSIVE KILN

We already offer this interesting variation of timber drying since more than 40 Years.

HILDEBRAND PROGRESSIVE KILN

Example of a Hildebrand progressive timber dry kiln (counterflow principle) which was installed in 1978 at BSW Timbers in Great Britan – still in operation today.

HILDEBRAND PROGRESSIVE KILN

HILDEBRAND progressive dry kiln (crossflow principle) at a big German prefabricater of buldings.

  • Especially for big sawmills with a continous  high turn around of similar timber species and only little variation   in dimensions and initial / final moisture content
  • Space savings through direct integration into the work flow and continous usage of the finished timber are possible. Intermediate storage can be reduced especially if the kiln is loaded and unloaded with a clever automatic transportation system. Those systems are also available for transportation cross to the timbermovement though the kiln (with forklift or kiln trolley).
  • Special walls (HTW-CH) for quick assembling and high durability
  • Different options (see below), customised on your special requirements. Additionally with Reco Zones or Pre Heating Zones.

Progressive kiln with lateral air flow

Progressive kiln with integrated heatexchanger

Kanaltrockner mit Gegenstrombelüftung und integriertem Wärmetauscher

Progrssive kiln with lenghtwise air flow

Kanaltrockner mit Längsbelüftung

Zoned Kiln

Kanal-Zonentrockner mit Längsbelüftung

Big progressive kiln with radial side fans

Großer Kanaltrockner mit Längsbelüftung und Radialventilatoren

Big progressive zone kiln with radial side fans

All kilns in various roof designs, roof can be used as control room, heating room. Also different transport systems are available.

  • Thanks to our „artificial intelligence“ (Computer control system B9840-CH), a modern progressive dry kiln achives  the same quality results in terms of final moisture content distribution and final moisture content as a conventional batch kiln. In the finish you have a modern and very flexible kiln dryer on the highest technical level. Among others, the time intervals for the advance in the kiln are adapted – in connection with the control of the moisture contents of the timber – to the progress of the dry (also wireless!). Special occurrences, as for example failing of the boiler, are considered.
  • The principle of counterflow – with or without separation in zones (lengthwise air flow) - is all in all energy-saving and comes to meet the natural drying process of lumber. The closer the stacks come to the discharge side, the lower the air humidity and the higher the temperature will be.
  • Kilns with crossflow principle also climate zones
  • Large progressive dry kilns will be equipped with powerful radial fans.

Especially for the drying of strong dimensions (up from 80 mm) please take among others a look at our HIGH VAC®-Master.

For hardwood drying we will offer you among others our progressive-kiln BRUNNER – Tandem - BTA P+F.
